{"id":62483,"date":"2025-05-31T01:45:18","date_gmt":"2025-05-30T18:45:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lfib.ac.th\/the-lfib-at-thaimun-2025-a-high-level-experience-for-our-students\/"},"modified":"2025-06-06T15:03:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T08:03:08","slug":"the-lfib-at-thaimun-2025-a-high-level-experience-for-our-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lfib.ac.th\/en\/the-lfib-at-thaimun-2025-a-high-level-experience-for-our-students\/","title":{"rendered":"The LFIB at THAIMUN 2025: a high-level experience for our students"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"62483\" class=\"elementor elementor-62483 elementor-62359\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c25cbb7 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c25cbb7\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eb81454 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eb81454\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>For the <strong>third year running<\/strong>, <strong>9 students from LFIB&#8217;s MUN club<\/strong> were lucky enough to take part in <strong>THAIMUN<\/strong>, held this year at Brighton College.<\/br>\nThis is the <strong>largest MUN conference<\/strong> held each year in Bangkok, bringing together over <strong>500 students<\/strong> from numerous international schools, with delegations from <strong>Turkey, Korea, Japan and Nepal<\/strong>, for three days of exceptional exchanges.<\/p>\n\n  <h3>Intense debates on global issues<\/h3>\n  <p>The LFIB students debated a <strong>variety of challenging topics<\/strong>:<\/p>\n  <ul>\n    <li>Rescuing the NHS in the UK<\/li>\n    <li>The place of the Supreme Court in the United States<\/li>\n    <li>NATO&#8217;s role<\/li>\n    <li>Theft of property<\/li>\n    <li>The emergence of new synthetic drugs<\/li>\n    <li>Animal exploitation in space exploration<\/li>\n    <li>The end of the Napoleonic Wars in Europe<\/li>\n  <\/ul>\n\n  <p>These subjects demanded a <strong>great deal of commitment<\/strong> from our students, who spared no effort in defending their positions with seriousness and eloquence.<\/p>\n\n  <h3>Well-deserved awards<\/h3>\n  <p>Their commitment was <strong>once again recognized<\/strong> with the following awards:<\/p>\n  <ul>\n    <li><strong>1 Best Position Paper<\/strong><\/li>\n    <li><strong>1 Honorable Mention<\/strong><\/li>\n  <\/ul>\n\n  <h3>Congratulations and thanks to our delegates<\/h3>\n  <p>We are <strong>absolutely proud of<\/strong> their dedication, rigor and passion.
