Scholarships
School grants (French children only)
Pupils of French nationality are eligible for a scholarship from Petite Section de Maternelle, if they are at least 3 years old in the calendar year of the start of the school year. This scholarship is awarded by the Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger (A.E.F.E.), after consultation with the Commission Locale de Bourses. Assistance can be requested for school fees, canteen meals and transport.
As scholarship renewal is not automatic, applications must be made at the beginning of each school year.
A second committee meeting is held in October, for new residents and for families who submitted a grant application in February and whose situation has changed significantly. These families inform the accounting department of their application, so that a special payment schedule can be proposed.
As soon as the scholarship campaigns are launched, LFIB informs the parents so that the families concerned can apply for the scholarship.

Applications may be submitted up to and including February 2, 2024 at the French Embassy, exclusively by post or directly at the reception desk. Please note:
- Applications sent by e-mail will not be processed.
- Incomplete applications will not be processed, and applications submitted after February 2, 2024 will be rejected.
