Back-to-school letter 2024-2025
The administrative and teaching teams are delighted to welcome you to the new school year and wish you an excellent 2024-2025.
Your choice of the Lycée Français International de Bangkok testifies to your confidence in the school’s teaching staff and its reputation. More broadly, it also reflects your confidence in French education and your attachment to the exceptional AEFE network.
From a pedagogical point of view, primary school language courses are taught in English and enriched with Thai. The British International Section is offered from CP to class 2nde.
At secondary level, the 8 speciality courses complete an already extensive range of options (English in the European and British international sections, BFI, German, Spanish, Mandarin in LVB and Thai, Latin and Greek).
Our students’ results for the 2024 exam session were excellent, with 100% success in the DNB (including 90% honors) and 100% success in the baccalauréat (including 90% honors).
3 of the 19 mentions Très Bien were awarded with the Jury’s Congratulations, which is excellent.
Our school project incorporates the priority objective of the success and personal development of all our students, and also formalizes the importance of languages in the English-speaking environment of international schools. English is an important part of the curriculum, which is reinforced and diversified, and the level achieved by our pupils from primary school onwards is excellent.
The success of our students depends on the exceptional commitment of our teachers, and of course on the interest, support, follow-up and encouragement of their parents.
In a conventioned institution, parental involvement is invaluable. The Fondation Française pour l’Education, the school’s managing body, works closely with the Parents’ Association to ensure that the school runs smoothly, in particular by monitoring budget execution, the regularity of financial management actions and the follow-up of expenditure commitments.
The APE also participates in a number of working committees covering, among other things, recruitment, contracts for outsourced services and finance. The APE is also a member of LFIB’s Board of Directors, the institution’s decision-making body.
This status leads to a joint and complementary sharing of decisions for the smooth running of the facility. We call on all parent volunteers to put their skills at the service of the school, as members of the APE Board, of the many working committees (finance, HR, works/purchasing, communication, canteen, AES) or within the pedagogical bodies (School Council, School Council), or as parent representatives in the various classes.
We’re looking forward to contributing our experience and our desire to make this fine establishment even better. To all of you, students, parents and staff, we wish you a very good start to the new school year and an excellent 2024-2025.
