Thai language teaching at LFIB
At LFIB, learning the Thai language plays an essential role in the cultural integration of our students. This teaching varies according to nationality and level of proficiency.
Thai courses for Thai students
For students with both parents of Thai nationality, or for those whose first nationality registered in the Eduka system is Thai, LFIB offers an intensive Thai language course called Thaï renforcé.
This program is designed to deepen linguistic and cultural skills, enabling students to maintain a strong link with their cultural and linguistic heritage.
These courses are compulsory for these students throughout their school career, without exception.
Thai courses for other students
For students whose Thai nationality is registered as a second nationality on Eduka, and for students of other nationalities, Thai language instruction is required up to 4th grade.
These courses, called Compulsory Thai, cover the linguistic and cultural foundations necessary for a better understanding of Thai society.
Students can choose to take the Reinforced Thai course to enrich their Thai language skills, whether they are of Thai origin or not.
Pedagogical objectives and benefits of teaching Thai
The program aims to :
- Strengthen students’ Thai language skills for better integration into Thai society.
