At the end of middle school, students can continue their education at a Lycée d’Enseignement Général et Technologique (LEGT). Schooling takes place over three years: seconde, première and terminale.

Each lycée has drawn up a school project, which enables it to adopt a specific policy for its student body.

The LEGT comprises three classes: seconde générale, première and terminale leading to the baccalauréat exam.

The baccalaureate certifies the knowledge and skills acquired at the end of secondary school and is the first level of higher education. As such, it enables the pursuit of higher education.
