At the award ceremony honouring the winners of the competition “Le Pont d’Amitié : สะพานมิตรภาพแห่งภาษาและวัฒนธรรม ไทย–ฝรั่งเศส”, organised by Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mark the 170th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and France, 16 members of the LFIB choir gave a musical performance celebrating the ties between the two countries.

Performing before an audience of 800 people, in the presence of Mr Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Ms Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, our students sang รักกันไว้เถิด (Rak Kan Wai Thoe) and Les Champs-Élysées. Through these two songs, one in Thai and the other in French, they turned music into a true bridge of friendship between languages and cultures.

The students were accompanied by their music teacher, Mr Ruchakorn Eurtivong; Ms Chananao Varunyou, Thai Headmistress; and Ms Supaluck Taechapongstorn, Human Resources Manager and coordinator of the project with Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Congratulations to our students on this wonderful performance, which conveyed a powerful message of unity and friendship between Thailand and France!
