From May 12 to 17, 2025, a delegation of 17swimmers from the Lycée Français International de Bangkok proudly represented the school at the 10thAsia-Pacific Swimming Championships in Shanghai. This high-level competition brought together the best young swimmers from French schools in the region.

🥇 10 medals for LFIB!

Our students demonstrated remarkable commitment and exemplary team spirit. Thanks to their efforts, they left with 10 medals, confirming the growing strength of the LFIB swimming section.

Outstanding individual performances:

Valentin Garde (Youth category) :
  • 🥇1st in 100 m backstroke in 1’03
  • 🥈 2nd in 50 m backstroke
  • 🥉 3rd in the 400 m freestyle in 4’45
Special mention for this student, whose times reach national standards. He trains daily in the Sports Association and with his outside club. Maximilien Géronimi (Avenir category):
  • 🥈2nd in 100 m freestyle
  • 🥈2nd in 100 m individual medley
  • 🥈2nd in 50 m backstroke
  • 🥈2nd in 50 m freestyle
  • 🥈2nd in 50 m butterfly
Hadrien Colin (Avenir category):
  • 🥉3rd in 100 m freestyle
  • 🥉3rd in 50 m backstroke
Congratulations also to Kooltari Chunhamaneewat, Lucas Nigrowski, Alan Aloui, Namrin Lephilibert and Sasha Guermashi, who all reached the finals of their respective events.

Overall ranking: LFIB in the mid-range

A young team with a bright future

Comprising 7 6th graders and 45th graders, the LFIB team is showing promise and is already looking ahead to future editions with ambition. These results illustrate the dynamism of the LFIB swimming section and the work of the teachers and coaches involved.
